Island Line (1980's)

With the demise of steam in 1966 British Railways acquired several ex London Transport tube trains to use for the passenger services. The reason for this was the restricted loading gauge of the Island's railways.

Class 05 No. 97803 (D2554) rests at Ryde St Johns Works.
