T'was having a look in my neg file and found this one never printed of 'ADB968*' taken at Bristol Bath Road Depot on 5 May 1984 (I think), at a guess I shouldn't have been there, but hey, 23 years ago we lived in a simpler world. The down train in this picture is more than likely the 14.30 or it might have been 14.40 Exeter-Paignton, returning as the 15.50 Paignton-Exteter. In 1983-84 the 33s worked about five or six daytime local services in the area. Thanks to a nice chap in Dawlish for help with this caption! This scene at Exeter St Davids has totally changed now, however on Saturday 18 August 1984, 45072 is seen here moving off with an up freight past the magnificent GWR semaphore gantry and signalbox.
